Bottles, ice and glasses
Drinks Calculator
Champagne, wine, water, spirits, ice and the glass count for a reception, a dinner or both, with a drinking profile you can set honestly.
What it does
Running out of ice ends a party faster than running out of food, and most hosts order half the glass they need. This planner works from consumption per guest per hour, splits the reception from the dinner and gives you the hire list at the end.
How to use it
- Set guests, reception length and dinner length
- Choose a drinking profile and the wine split
- Read bottles, ice, water and the glass hire
- Order 10 per cent more of anything you cannot buy on the night
Notes
- Half a bottle of wine per guest at dinner is the planning standard
- Ice: 0.5 kg per guest for a dinner, 1 kg for a summer reception
- Glass hire: one per wine plus water plus one spare per guest
