Can you cook here?
Location Kitchen Check
Tell the planner what kind of place you are cooking in and how many guests you have, and it returns the kitchen you need to build: power, water, space, cold storage, light and waste.
What it does
A villa terrace, a yacht galley, a loft, a field and a chalet all fail in different ways. This check asks the questions a head chef asks on a site visit and produces the hire list and the warnings for your venue type, with the power draw in kilowatts.
How to use it
- Choose the venue type and the guest count
- Set what already exists on site
- Read the hire list, the power total and the warnings
- Send it to the venue before you agree the menu
Notes
- An induction plate draws about 3.5 kW, a hot cabinet about 2 kW
- Plan 1.5 square metres of working kitchen per ten guests
- Vehicle access within fifty metres is a menu decision, not a detail
